Hello, I’m Meg Priest, The Divorce Organizer

I’ve been helping women through divorce long before I knew it would become my calling.

When I was young, I watched my mom’s best friend unravel after her husband left. She was a stay-at-home mom with a teenage daughter, no income, and no idea how to pay a bill or access her family’s money. My mom was on the phone with her every night, helping her sort through the fear and confusion. That moment stuck with me. I remember thinking, I never want to be that unprepared.

Years later, I married someone with a high-conflict co-parenting history. I sat front-row through court battles, pro se filings, and the kind of pain that didn’t need to happen. I learned how not to do things—and how to navigate the system. I saw how overwhelming the legal process can be when you're on your own, and how costly it can be when you’re not.

Then came my own divorce. I was blindsided by my husband after 13 years of marriage. There was no doubt in my mind—I knew I had to file. I hired a lawyer right away, like most of us do. I picked the one I thought was right. She charged $425 an hour. Many charge more.

What I didn’t expect was that most of what I paid for was help with administrative tasks: getting documents together, filling out forms, learning what to expect. Things I could have done myself—if I had only known how.

I spent over $50,000 on legal fees. My ex spent almost as much. We both ended up going pro se. And for all that money, nothing really changed—except our finances.

That’s why I do this work.

I created Divorce Organizer services for women like me—and maybe like you. Whether you're certain you want to file or just starting to explore the possibility, I will help you prepare. Not just emotionally, but practically and financially. So you can walk into a lawyer’s office (or mediation, or court) with clarity and confidence—and without wasting thousands on things you could have done yourself.
